FORT KNOX, Kentucky – The start of this year’s Army Emergency Relief campaign, which raises funds and scholarships for Soldiers and Families in need, is set for March 1.

Each year AER holds an annual fund-raising campaign to increase awareness about the many types of financial assistance it provides Soldiers, Families, retirees and Gold Star spouses and children. The campaign also provides the opportunity for current and retired Soldiers to help their fellow service members.

The 2023 campaign will run from March 1 to May 15. This year’s goal is to raise $130,000 in donations, which can be made directly through individual units and organizations as well as online at give.armyermergencyrelief.org.

Since its establishment in 1942, AER has supported four million Soldiers with almost $2 billion in financial assistance, half of which has been provided since the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
