Follow our online electronic donation process or mail us a check. We will send thank you notes to the donor(s), notification to the donation recipient, and share the name of donor(s) with the memorial service.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is my donation tax deductible?

    AER is a registered 501(c)(3) charity, which means your donation is tax deductible. Talk to your accountant for more information.

    AER’S Federal Employer Identification Number is 53-0196552.

  • Does AER receive federal funding?

    No. AER is a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization and does not receive federal funding.

  • Does AER participate in the Combined Federal Campaign?

    No. The Army hosts an annual AER fundraising campaign each year.

  • Does AER accept donations of clothing, furniture, vehicles, airline miles or care packages?

    No. Donations of vehicles can be made through other vendors and AER can be selected as the recipient of the value. Other military charities such as the Fisher House Foundation receive and process unused airline miles. Care packages can be organized through the U.S. Army’s Gifts to the Army Program.
