VIENNA, Va. — In celebration of nine decades of service, Navy Federal Credit Union is partnering with nine military-focused nonprofit chapters to champion their communities by donating $10,000 grants to global and local organizations. Championing community and philanthropic giving are some of the many ways that Navy Federal serves its global membership base.

“We’re putting members first by taking care of their financial needs in our branches, online, over the phone and supporting the communities where they serve,” said Mary McDuffie, President and CEO at Navy Federal. “Service has been at the heart of our organization for 90 years, and we’re proud to go beyond banking to support military communities through nonprofit partnerships that share our values.”

National beneficiaries of Navy Federal’s 90th Anniversary Give Back include:

  • Army Emergency Relief
  • Air Force Aid Society
  • Coast Guard Foundation
  • Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society

The credit union is also focusing on local causes near campus locations across Florida, Virginia and California to strengthen its impact in communities where team members volunteer their time, as well as support the specific needs of resident military families. The organizations include:

  • Armed Services YMCA of San Diego
  • Northern Shenandoah Valley Community Veterans Engagement Board
  • Pensacola Habitat for Humanity Veterans Build Program
  • Easterseals DMV Military Family Clinic Program

With 166 branches on or near military installations and 26 international locations, Navy Federal is also donating $10,000 to overseas services for Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. Team members in Okinawa, Japan, are closely connected to the nonprofit’s local chapter to support service members stationed overseas.

In addition to philanthropic giving, volunteerism and intentional nonprofit partnerships, Navy Federal is proud to be the most trusted financial institution for the military community for 90 years.
