AER Among Military Aid Organizations to be at Wells Fargo Championship

Representatives from Army Emergency Relief will be one of three military aid organizations at the Wells Fargo Championship on May 4-8 at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm in Potomac, Maryland.

Golfers set to compete include three-time champion Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, Gary Woodland, Webb Simpson, Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel, Zach Johnson, Xander Schauffele, Abraham Ancer, Francesco Molinari, Patrick Reed and Tyrell Hatton.

The championship is offering extend ticket benefits to all members of the United States military. Military tickets will be offered to active-duty, Reserve, Retired and National Guard members on site at the Main Entrance Ticket Tent with proof of military ID.

Military attendees are invited to visit the Patriot’s Outpost, which is presented by CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, for complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. The venue is located along 16 fairway and will be open exclusively to military with a valid military ID (plus one) and their mobile ticket, on a first come, first served basis.

The Wells Fargo Championship, celebrating its 20th year, is one of the premier golf events on the PGA TOUR. Since 2003, the tournament has welcomed all the world’s top 25 players and in 2019 was voted by the players as “Best in Class” among events on the TOUR schedule. The Wells Fargo Championship will be held at TPC Potomac for one year while the tournament’s permanent home, Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, prepares to host the 2022 Presidents Cup.
